odudo v2.55.1

Auction terms

Version 2.55.1 · en vigueur au 06/11/2026

1. Type of auction

Auctions on odudo are online auctions in which the purchase contract is concluded with the highest bidder when the auction ends. The operator provides the technology and settles through escrow.

2. Bids

Every bid is binding and cannot be withdrawn, except for an obvious typing error before another bidder’s next bid. With a maximum bid, the system automatically bids only as much as needed to stay in the lead (proxy bidding). The maximum bid remains hidden from others.

3. Extension

If a bid is received in the last 5 minutes, the auction is extended by 5 minutes.

4. Reserve and buy now

If the seller set a reserve price that is not reached, the seller may accept the highest bid within 3 days; otherwise the auction ends without a contract. A buy-now price applies only until the first bid.

5. Prohibited bids

Bids by the seller or persons close to the seller and collusion between bidders are prohibited and lead to suspension; the operator may cancel affected auctions.

6. Payment and non-payment

The highest bidder pays through escrow within 7 days. If they fail to pay, the seller may offer the domain to the next-highest bidder; the defaulting bidder may be suspended. Further claims are reserved.

6a. Descending auction

In a descending auction the price falls from the starting price in equal steps down to a limit set by the seller, which is never undercut and is not visible to bidders. There are no bids: the first acceptance concludes the purchase bindingly at the price applicable at that moment. If the price actually applicable is higher than the one displayed, no contract is concluded; if it is lower, the lower price applies.

7. Record of the auction

After an auction has ended, the operator provides the seller and the buyer with a record as a PDF. It contains the key data of the auction, the course of bidding with time and amount, and the result. Bidders are identified solely by the alias under which they were publicly visible during the auction; names and addresses are not stated. A reserve price set by the seller appears only in the seller’s copy. The record reflects the state of the operator’s records.
